The disaster earthquake that has ravaged Haiti has left over 200 thousand dead and millions homeless. There are numerous businesses in the North Shore communities that are taking donations for the Haiti Fund. Here is a list of where you can donate:
The City Of Elliot Lake is accepting donations in cash, cheque or debit for the Canadian Red Cross. You can drop off your donation at Elliot Lake City Hall Mon-Fri from 8:30 to 4:30.
Elliot Lake Foodland, Blind River Valu-Mart and Wrinkels Independent Grocer in Espanola. There will be donation boxes set up at every cash. All donations made at these businesses will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross.
Tim Hortons in Elliot Lake, Blind River, Espanola and McKerroll are accepting donations which will be donated to UNICEF.
Your local Sears outlet is also accepting donations for Haiti and the money collected will go to the Canadian Red Cross.
