Moose FM CKNR 94.1 - Elliot Lake

A two million dollar fund to rebuild the business community in Elliot Lake was announced today. The money comes from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund. Minister of Northern Development and Mines, Rick Bartolucci spoke at a press conference this morning in Elliot Lake

Bartolucci added that an economic recovery office has been opened in town as part of the funding package. The Ministry's economic development employees will work with the municipality and businesses through the remobilization plan. All projects will need approval from the NOHFC.
