Sudbury police have caught a man who was the object of an intensive search for about seven hours Thursday. It started with a carjacking around noon in North Bay and a pursuit into Sudbury followed. Sudbury police cordoned off several city blocks in the east end and three elementary schools were locked down for nearly an hour. Once the area was secured, the school lock down was lifted but residents in nearby homes were asked to stay in-doors. The man was caught just before 11:00 p.m. Thursday and faces a slew of charges.
