First Nations Continue With Self Goverment Effort

First Nations are ready to adopt self government.  That’s the word following a chiefs’ committee on governance this month.  One of the self government agreements being negotiated with the feds is education.  Grand Council Chief Pat Mahdahbee says securing that agreement means Aboriginal children will see better success rates in schools.  Mahdahbee says self government will also create more economic opportunities for First Nations, including much needed jobs.
