Sea-Doo Collides With Boat on Lake Joseph

Hits

A weekend collision resulted in a Sea-Doo boarding a boat.  West Parry Sound OPP were called to the North End of Lake Joe just before noon on Saturday where a personal watercraft ended up inside a boat.  The investigation determined that a Sea-Doo operated by a 23-year-old Oakville man was following a boat operated by his 55 year old father and five other family members.  The young man lost control of the Sea-Doo after jumping the vessel's wake and came to rest inside the vessel.  Speed and proximity of the vessels operation in relation to each other has been cited as a contributing factor in the collision while OPP have determined that alcohol was not involved.  The driver of vessel received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the West Parry Sound Health Centre (WPSHC) for treatment.  No other persons received injuries in the collision.
