A Parry Sound Town Councillor has been found to have broken the Code of Conduct recently approved by council. A complaint from the public was received by the Town of Parry Sound on September 8th regarding abuse of power and unethical behaviour after a verbal confrontation at a campground. The integrity commissioner for the Town Suzanne Craig conducted an investigation and found the councillor to be in contravention of Section B.3.ii and Section D.1 of the Code. Craig also says, however, she believes the councillor acted through inadvertence or error of judgment made in good faith and therefore no penalty was imposed on the councillor. The councillor has since apologized to the complainant.
