A Norfolk County man is dead after a fiery crash on the Highway 6 Bypass in Caledonia. Police say a small SUV crashed head-on into a tractor trailer tanker hauling a load of gasoline Wednesday night. The tanker went into the ditch and caught fire. The driver was able to escape with non-life threatening injuries before the truck was destroyed by the flames. Police have identified the man as 45-year-old James Merrilees of Norfolk County. OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
