Brantford Hockeyfest has been postponed and the impact is being felt by fans, businesses and vendors alike.  Hotels that were booked solid for this weekend are now half-empty and vendors are stuck with hundreds of pounds of food.  Not to mention the thousands of ticket holders now flocking for refunds.  Hockeyfest Promoter Ralph Spoltore made the official announcement at a news conference yesterday morning after two possible venues pulled out at the last minute citing public safety concerns.  Spoltore says tickets will be honoured at a future event, with no venue or date available at this time.  He says he is working diligently to make sure the fans and everyone involved in Hockeyfest are looked after.
