Three O-P-P officers are among 47 Canadians who received bravery medals from the Governor General last week. They include Constable Gino Nolet of Hearst and volunteer firefighter Robert Ringuette as a result of their actions at a fatal fire in Hearst in late 2006. The Medal of Bravery recognizes acts of bravery in hazardous circumstances. Nolet and Ringuette entered a burning building in December 2006 in an attempt to rescue a resident of the building who later succumbed to his injuries.
