Time is running out to be a part of the massive TH&VS Homecoming celebration. Paul Toffanello, co-chair of the Homecoming committee is urging participants to register quickly and early so you don’t miss out what promises to be the biggest party of the summer. You have until July 23^rd to register as planning is being done for seating and catering. Xstrata Copper Kidd Operations has come on board as an exclusive sponsor for the Alumni Concert portion taking place at the Hollinger Park on August 5^th. Carole Belanger says it’s fitting for Xstrata to sponsor this event as many staff has graduated from TH&VS.

Registrations can be done online at www.thvsalumni.ca, by phone at (705) 268-2149 or (705) 267-5808 or in person at the Shania Twain Centre. The Xstrata Copper-Timmins High Alumni concert is set from 3:00pm to 11:00pm and features the bands Me and the Butcher, Steffany Venneri and Friends, Timmins All Star Big Band, the Regulars and Sledgehammer. Each band features an alumni from TH&VS. Other activities during the day include children’s inflatables, a beer garden and multicultural food fair.  Bus shuttles will be running free-of-charge from municipal parking lots across the City.
Adams says they are expecting alumni from as far as South Africa and Cordoba, Spain to arrive in Timmins. The oldest alumni registered thus far is Reg Pope, who graduated in 1937.
