Ontario’s Progressive Conservatives have some harsh criticism for the New Democrats. Minister of Northern Development and Mines Rick Bartolucci says the NDP is supposedly defenders of the ONTC but yet voted to protect the horse racing industry rather than the ONTC during the provincial budget. The local PCs quote MPP Gilles Bisson as saying “they didn’t want to force an election over a regional issue” though it’s the region he’s supposed to represent. Bartolucci added the NDP had the chance to make a difference but instead sat on their hands.
