The Timmins Temiskaming Community Legal Clinic is a non-profit organization providing legal services to low income families in our community. During thses tough economic times we see many families struggling to make ends meet. Many children are returning to school without basic supplies afor the year ahead. It is our goal to provide these children with the basic school supplies needed to get their school year started on the right foot.
We are currently looking for support from Timmins residents and businesses to raise funds and collect donations of school supplies to ensure that children from low income families start the school year off right. Items that we would like to collect and/or purchase from financial donations include backpacks, pens, pencils, erasers, pencil crayons, highlighters, note paper and binders. Your suppport in this program would be greatly appreciated. Families who would like to register for this program can do so by attending the Timmins Temiskaming Community Legal Clinic, 119 Pine Street South, Suite 202 to complete a registration form. Eligibility will be determined on a case by case basis, taking into consideration the total household income and family size. Backpacks will be handed out from our office in mid August.
