Lakers Lacrosse Action

The Peterborough Senior Lakers defeated the Oakville Rock 13-5 for their first road victory of the year. The Senior Lakers will host the Oakville Rock on Thursday. The Peterborough Junior Lakers dumped Mississauga 17-5 last night. Their next home game is this Friday against Six Nations.

 

Lakers Weekend Lacrosse Action

The Peterborough Lakers lost 11-8 to the KW Kodiaks, in first ever Capital Cup game in Kingston on Saturday. The Lakers are in Oakville tonight to take on the Oakville Rock and then return home to face the Oakville Rock again on Thursday.

The Peterborough Junior Lakers fared better over the weekend, defeating Barrie 13-12. The Juniors are at home tonight to Mississauga and at Six Nations this Friday.

The Peterborough Senior "A" Lakers Lacrosse team fell to the Six Nations Chiefs 12-9, on Sunday afternoon. The Senior Laker's next home game is this Thursday, June 6th, against the league leading Brooklin Redmen. Then on Saturday June 8th, at 7:00 p.m., the Lakers will play what is being called the "First Capital Game" at the K-Rock Centre, in Kingston, against the KW Kodiaks. The game is to help promote minor lacrosse in Kingston.

The Peterborough Junior "A" Lakers downed Orangeville 15-6 on Friday. The Junior Lakers next home game is tonight against Brampton.

 

Junior Lakers Lose a Close One

The Peterborough Jr. "A" Lakers lost a close one to Whitby last night 9-8. The Junior Lakers next game is on Friday, May 31st at Orangeville and their next home game is Monday, June 3rd against Brampton.

 

Weekened Lakers' Lacrosse Action

The Peterborough Jr. "A" Lakers lost 14-8 to the Six Nations team on Sunday. The Junior Lakers next home game is today against Whitby.

The Peterborough Sr. "A" Lakers Lacrosse Team lost 15-9 to Brooklin last night. The next Senior Lakers' game is at home this Thursday against the Brampton Excelsior.

 

NHHS Track Team Shines in Belleville Meet

The North Hastings High School track team did very well at the Bay of Quinte Track meet on Wednesday. They qualified 24 athletes in 41 individual events and 5 relay teams. Highlights included Jordan Easton, Taryn Betson, David Baehre, Sarah Armstrong, Krystal Lakeman and Tori Howran who qualified in all three of their individual events. The Huskies are looking forward to the COSSA event next week in Belleville.
