The Haliburton County Farmers’ Market is taking place every Friday from 1-5pm all summer until September 5th, at That Place in Carnarvon which is at the junction of Hwy#118 and Hwy#35
If you are looking for an enjoyable, free activity to do with children, there are three library branches in Haliburton County with summer story time hours. The Wilberforce Branch welcomes children of all ages on Tuesday evenings from 7-8pm for story time and more. The Stanhope Branch hosts story time on Wednesday afternoons from 1-2pm and the Dorset Branch looks forward to seeing you on Thursday evenings starting at 6:30

Dusk Dances, the hugely popular event that brings contemporary and traditional dance to public parks across Canada, is returning to Haliburton Village this summer. Dusk Dances will be performing in Head Lake Park from Thursday, July 29th to Sunday, August 1st.
Presented nightly at 7pm, Dusk Dances will feature five whimsical dances that unfold in different areas of Head Lake Park. Dusk Dances is a pay-what-you-can event, making it a fun and affordable family activity.

Gooderham Horseshoe Days, featuring Monster Truck Rides, CPWA wrestling, pig races, Demolition Derby, Ziggy the Fire Eating Clown, a Reptile Show, Mid-way, live entertainment and lots more all happening at the Gooderham Community Centre.

St Peters Church on Maple Lake invites everyone to their Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale, it goes from 9am-1pm, tickets which are available at the door are $8 for adults and children under 12 are $4.

The Minden Lions club are operating their annual road toll booth in downtown Minden from 8am -2:30 pm to raise funds for a number of community projects and no amount is to small.

Kinark Outdoor Centre is holding a Natural Plaster Wall Workshop where participants will learn the fundamentals of mixing and applying plaster finishes to walls. It runs from 10am to 5pm and the cost is $60. per person with proceeds going to events being held at the Sustainable Living Centre. For more information call 286-3555

The Sizzlin’ Summer Service is happening at 10:30am at the Band Shell in Head lake Park. This service is sponsored by the Haliburton Ministerial Association, dress is casual, bring a lawn chair or blanket and refreshments will follow.
