The North Bay Midget AA Ice Boltz are bringing home Silver from Nationals. The Boltz had a 2-0 lead in the third period of the gold medal match but Quebec came back to win 5-2.

Boltz Advance to Semi-Finals

The North Bay Ice Boltz are just two wins away from a National Championship. The Boltz defeated host team Fraser Valley 1-0 on Thursday. Semi-finals are Friday against Edmonton, who the girls lost to in a shootout on Tuesday.
 

Ice Boltz Penalty Stricken in Loss

The North Bay Ice Boltz had 14 penalties in their 3-1 loss to Quebec at Nationals. Thursday they face the Fraser Valley Phantom in their last game of round robin play.
 

Traps Are Northern Ontario Champs

The North Bay Junior A Trappers are NOJHL champions. The Traps took the series in Game 7 Wednesday night at the Gardens winning 3-1 over the Soo Thunderbirds. It isn't the end of the season yet for the team. The Trappers will host the Dudley-Hewitt Cup that starts on April 30th.

Ice Boltz Shot Down In Shoot-Out

At the Nationals on Tuesday, the North Bay Ice Boltz couldn’t beat the Edmonton Thunders’ goalie and lost 5-4 in a shoot-out. The girls sit tied for second place heading into Wednesday’s game.
 

Fraser Named to Provincial Team Again

Skier Madi Fraser has once again been appointed to Ontario’s elite Nordic Ski Team. It's the third year in a row for the grade 11 student at Chippewa Secondary School. Fraser finished the season as top seeded 16 year old female in the province.
