The North Bay Ice Boltz are just two wins away from a National Championship. The Boltz defeated host team Fraser Valley 1-0 on Thursday. Semi-finals are Friday against Edmonton, who the girls lost to in a shootout on Tuesday.

The North Bay Ice Boltz had 14 penalties in their 3-1 loss to Quebec at Nationals. Thursday they face the Fraser Valley Phantom in their last game of round robin play.

The North Bay Junior A Trappers are NOJHL champions. The Traps took the series in Game 7 Wednesday night at the Gardens winning 3-1 over the Soo Thunderbirds. It isn't the end of the season yet for the team. The Trappers will host the Dudley-Hewitt Cup that starts on April 30^th.

At the Nationals on Tuesday, the North Bay Ice Boltz couldn’t beat the Edmonton Thunders’ goalie and lost 5-4 in a shoot-out. The girls sit tied for second place heading into Wednesday’s game.

Skier Madi Fraser has once again been appointed to Ontario’s elite Nordic Ski Team. It's the third year in a row for the grade 11 student at Chippewa Secondary School. Fraser finished the season as top seeded 16 year old female in the province.
