The Worst Roads campaign was in North Bay on Tuesday creating public awareness about the event. This is the eighth year for the contest where residents vote for what they believe are the worst roads in Ontario. The campaign is sponsored by the C-A-A and its spokesman, Korey Kennedy says the aim is not to embarrass municipal governments. Kennedy says the objective is to get the roads fixed, and he says thanks to the contest that really happens. Kennedy says since the contest began more than 90 percent of the roads nominated to the top 20 list have been repaired or are scheduled to be fixed up. People can vote until September 30th and to cast your ballot, go to the C-A-A website and click onto the worst roads campaign. The good news for North Bay was that in last year's contest, no local road made the top 20 worst list.
