West Nipissing Hospital Workers Excel at Hand Washing

E-mail Print PDF

Employees at the West Nipissing Hospital have a better record of washing their hands before and after dealing with patients than their North Bay counterparts.   In West Nipissing 83 percent of workers wash their hands before patient contact.  That’s way above the North Bay rate of 57 percent.  After patient contact, the hand washing rate jumps to 87 percent for West Nipissing Hospital workers which is still above the 74 percent figure among North Bay hospital employees.  For each category, West Nipissing workers exceed or are close to the provincial hand washing average.
