The Food Bank is now located at 109 Third Street in Sturgeon Falls which is the basement of the former Resurrection Church.

'Returns for leukemia' program is holding its dunk tank fundraiser on Saturday may 25th. As well with the dunk tank they will be having a BBQ and a pizza eating contest sponsored by premiere pizza, it's a $10 entry fee and there are prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd.

The UFC Girls are arranging a Relay for Life Fundraiser on June 15, 2013 at the Lavigne Tavern. The band Broad Daylight has graciously offered to play at the fundraiser on June 15, 2013 and Guy and Judy Fortier have generously offered the Lavigne Tavern for the venue. There will be a variety of themed baskets available for raffle and a silent auction. All money collected during their fundraising efforts will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society at the Relay for Life in Sudbury, ON. They invite you all to come out and enjoy a great evening of entertainment and hospitality and help raise some money for cancer awareness and research.

White Water Gallery Youth Arts Initiative Fundraiser - TOGETHER: SHAPING THE FUTURE
Over the past few years a group of young emerging artists have grown from doing little things here and there to a group of youth focusing on professional development and outreach activities on a huge scale. The Youth Arts Initiative or YAI focuses on collaborative community projects and work together to make the world a better place. They also work to better themselves by bringing in professional artists for workshops, artist-talks and help give them the skills needed to succeed in life. This is the third year that the program has been in place but the first year that we have started seeking funds to run our program. The West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation has recently launched its “Million Pennies Campaign”.
Support the WNGH and come and drop off your pennies in the largest coin box in town, in the main lobby of the hospital.
