Local mayors are hearing first hand pre-election pitches from provincial leaders. Delegations from a number of local municipalities are at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference in London this week. Yesterday AMO delegates heard Tory Leader Tim Hudak promise $947-million in social service and court security should he get the nod October 6^th. NDP Leader Andrea Horwath also spoke of responsibility falling to the producers for the cost and safe disposal of hazardous materials.
