Canada's Minister of Industry and Minister Responsible for FedNor is responding to what he calls rumours spread by the NDP. Tony Clement says two M.P.’s in the Nickel Belt and Sault regions were telling falsehoods about the future of the Sudbury FedNor office, saying it was going to close and move to Toronto. Clement says the NDP is playing political games and that they shouldn't be so reckless as employees in the FedNor officer were concerned for the future of their jobs. Since 2006 FedNor has invested more than 200-million dollars in Northern Ontario communities.
