Trillium Lakelands District School Board’s first Gay-Straight Alliance Conference was a big success! The day featured keynote speaker and nationally recognized artist, scholar and human rights activist Spencer J Harrison. Lunch was served by Drag Queens Ms Madge Enthat and Miss Divalicious of Peterborough. Students attended workshops throughout the day last Friday and organizers say students left BMLSS feeling lighter, and a lot more grounded to face their fears. GSA clubs unite LGBT students, straight allies, and members of the school community who are committed to making schools safer and more accepting for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered students.
